OUR NEW DONKEY HOUSE

OUR NEW DONKEY HOUSE

After several months of construction, the new Donkey Barn is virtually complete. The 75’ x 40’ wooden structure, along with its surrounding roadways and paddocks, is a major addition to our facility. The barn has many special features which are meant to provide a healthy, supportive living environment for the donkeys. The interior and exterior areas can be configured in several different ways, according to the needs of the animals, and the bright, airy spaces and insulated roof will make for comfortable living in both warmer and colder weather.

The budget for the project is $175,000 and to date we have raised $151,000 in donations from contributors. It is thanks to their generosity that the construction of the Donkey Barn has been made possible.

Although the donkeys will be using the new facility in the months beforehand, stay tuned for the notice of the official opening once the snow and mud of winter and early spring have subsided!
