Katie was admitted to The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada Farm in spring 2010. Prior to coming to the Donkey Sanctuary, Katie, and her companion Callie, belonged to friends of Sandra and David Pady. Both goats grew up on a nearby farm, but when the farm was about to be sold, Sandra and David’s friends wanted to be sure that Callie and Katie would have a safe and healthy home for the remainder of their lives.
Katie and Callie are very happy here at the Donkey Sanctuary, and like to play with the other resident goats and sheep. The two will engage in rambunctious games of chase and head-butting, often disrupting the donkeys who are trying to eat their dinner peacefully. When they first arrived, Katie and Callie were quite shy of people, but they are becoming more comfortable with every passing day.
