OUR MISSION |
We
are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and protection of abandoned,
neglected or abused donkeys, mules and hinnies. Animals admitted to the
DSC are given a lifelong home.
The Sanctuary does not buy, sell or breed animals. |
• Provides a lifelong home
for neglected, unwanted and/or abused donkeys and mules in a setting that
promotes the conservation and protection of Canada’s environmental
heritage.
• Makes available humane education programs that promote the concepts
of stewardship of animals and land, including improved standards and knowledge
of animal welfare within environmentally sustainable land practices.
• Makes available an interactive therapeutic program involving
the donkeys and people with special needs.
