Step inside the DSC with the CBC

Within the equine family, horses are often thought of as majestic and zebras are thought of as exotic, while donkeys tend to be the butt of all the jokes. Lesley Bayne, the Executive Director of the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada, wants to change that. "Donkeys are so misunderstood," she says, "they are actually quite clever animals… If someone is saying to us that a donkey is stupid or stubborn, it's probably because they've been outsmarted by them."
