Sabrina

Before coming to the DSC Sabrina lived with horses on a farm in southwestern Ontario.

Sabrina is very curious about people and comes to the fence willingly. She is best in one-on-one interactions with a single person and gets a bit anxious or unsure if someone else comes into the mix.

When she arrived to the DSC Sabrina was an overweight donkey. We continue to care for her with an ongoing specialized weight management strategy to keep her at a healthy weight. She has been on thyroid medication since 2019 to help her lose weight. Sabrina does not get access to grass and therefore spends most of the year with the minis in their paddock and she comes to the barnyard in the summer, both areas have minimum grass for her to graze upon.
