Kingston

Kingston originally lived on a breeding farm in Eastern Ontario, where his care, and that of his brother, Leo, was neglected right from the start. Once the owner of the breeding farm was no longer interested in the two mules, they were given to a neighbour. The two mules had received no training and their handling by people was minimal, leading to feral like behaviour any time humans would try to interact with them.  In the early summer of 2017 the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC) was contacted to take Kingston and Leo into our permanent care.

Our animal care staff work diligently and consistently with Kingston to get him used to his life at the Sanctuary.
