Chewy

Before coming to The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC), Chewy and his miniature donkey friend, Luke, lived on a farm in the Halton Area. A family had these two geldings for 23 years, practically all their lives, and loved them dearly, but were having difficulty managing their health needs and realized that it was time for them to come to the DSC.

Both donkeys were admitted for lifelong care in the summer of 2023.

Like many donkeys we encounter, they are chubby from years of overfeeding which has contributed to some health problems. Chewy and Luke currently reside in our Special needs herd.

Chewy is a very sweet boy who loves attention.
