Meet Arean

Arean lived on a farm in Eastern Canada alongside her companion, Peggy where both donkeys were cherished pets.

As time passed, their owner became increasingly concerned about the donkeys’ long-term health and well-being. Wanting to ensure they would receive the highest standard of care before any potential medical issues became critical, the owner made the decision to place them at the DSC where their needs could be fully met.

Arean is completely blind in her left eye, likely the result of leptospirosis (a bacterial infection). This condition has not hindered her ability to live a contented life. She continues to thrive and has adapted well to her new environment.
