Meet Ellie

Not much is known about Ellie’s life before coming to the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC). She lived with two other donkeys on a farm in Northeastern Ontario and when their owner passed away the DSC was contacted by a concerned neighbour in December of 2019. He inquired if the DSC could help and take the three donkeys in. Ellie, Finn and Sawyer arrived just before Christmas that year.

Ellie slowly adjusted to her new life here at the Sanctuary. She was very nervous and timid at first, but with lots of care she has blossomed into a very sweet little donkey.
