Johnny

DSC supporters became concerned about the fate of Johnny and his companion donkey Franco when they responded to an ad. The donkeys were in very poor condition and it was likely they would be purchased by a slaughterhouse. After checking to see if the DSC would take the two donkeys, the supporters purchased them.

Both donkeys were gelded before being placed with the main herd.

When Johnny and Franco were moved to a DSC Foster Farm, Johnny became difficult to handle. They returned to the DSC after a month. Johnny is happiest at the Sanctuary Farm.
