Before arriving at the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC) Marco, five donkey friends and one mule friend, lived on a farm in Southern Ontario. It was a very caring home. But, when the owner had to downsize their farm due to their own health, they contacted the DSC to enquire whether we could take on the group of seven. They all arrived in the summer of 2024.
In November 2025 Marco & his friend Polo graduated to a DSC Host Farm where they’re now enjoying their warm stall at night and the doting attention of the young Host Farm family members.
