Meet Buttons

Before coming to The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC) Buttons and her companion Bonnie lived on a farm in the Hamilton Area.

Buttons is a sweet and gentle miniature jenny with a naturally curious personality. She was clearly very well cared for by her previous owner, but due to declining health, it became increasingly difficult for them to continue caring for Buttons and Bonnie. In late fall of 2025, Buttons and Bonnie arrived at the DSC to begin the next chapter of their lives.

Friendly and inquisitive, Buttons enjoys meeting new people and exploring her surroundings. We are excited to get to know her better as she settles in and continues to thrive at the DSC.
