Melody

Melody came from a home in the Kawartha area, where she was housed with cattle as well as 10 of her donkey friends. The donkeys had no appropriate shelter, nutrition or care.

Melody was only a month old when she arrived at the DSC and was still dependent on mom, Ariel, for nutrition as well as guidance around this big world. DSC Animal Care staff let Melody enjoy life as a donkey before beginning to handle or train her. Once our care staff began to work with Melody, she was very eager to please and enjoyed her sessions as all the attention was on her!

It has been a pleasure to see Melody grow and become a beautiful donkey.
