Meet Patrick

Before coming to the DSC in the Fall of 2021, Patrick lived on a farm in Central Ontario. Patrick was a well-loved pet but to due to the decline in the owner’s health they were no longer able to take care of him any longer.

He came to the DSC as a jack (an intact male donkey), so, soon after his arrival he was castrated. Because he had been a jack his whole life, he has shown aggressive behaviours towards other donkeys and thus requires specific care and management.

These days Patrick shares his space with Luigi.
