Jennet (female donkey)

Pearl lived with her mom and two siblings (Jasper and Ruby) on a farm in southwestern Ontario. In August 2013, she and her family were surrendered to the DSC after the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA investigated reported neglect at the farm.

Pearl’s hooves were overgrown, which made moving around for her challenging and painful. Our farrier started working right way to shape her hooves.

Pearl has adjusted well to her new surrounding and is curious about the things going on around her. She lives happily on the Donkey House’s jennet side with her mom, Diamond, and younger sister Ruby. They are often seen roaming the fields together.
