Petunia

Petunia lived on a farm in the Ottawa area. When her owner suddenly passed away, the person settling the estate wanted Petunia to be removed from the property as fast as possible and at this point the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada (DSC) was contacted. A home was found for the mule and Petunia lived there for two years, when the DSC once again was contacted to take Petunia in. Petunia finally arrived at the DSC in the spring of 2017.

Although Petunia is a shy and nervous mule, she very much loves attention over the fence. Our animal care staff have and still are working with her consistently and diligently to help her gain confidence so she can lead a happy and healthy life here at the Sanctuary farm.
