There will NOT be an Open Day on September 28, as PACE for the Donkeys 5K Trail Run will be taking place at the sanctuary.
Every year, on most Sundays from the first Sunday in May to the last Sunday in October, the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada is open to the public. Visitors come from all over the world to visit with these gentle equines—and we look forward to seeing you, as well.
Please note that Concession 4 and Maltby Rd. are closed at Hwy. 6 due to recent road changes. The new interchange is now open and the exit to Wellington Rd. 34 is also now open.
If you’re using Hwy 6, exit at the new interchange and continue down to Wellington Rd. 34 or take the Wellington Rd. 34 exit.
Turn right onto 20 Side Rd to reach Concession 4 and turn left on Concession 4 to reach the DSC.
Each year, we offer special open days to seniors and during the holiday season. These days change from year to year. Information and FAQ here.
On Mondays and Fridays throughout our open season, we offer group tours to interested parties. Information and FAQ here.

The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada is a not-for-profit registered charity. Our mission is to provide a lifelong home to donkeys, mules and hinnies that are unwanted, neglected or abused and we promote the responsible stewardship of all animals through humane education. We envision a world in which the dignity and worth of all creatures are recognized and respected.
